When to buy?

I remember a few months back , people suggested buying towards the end of April as the prices should’ve gotten better however knowing this hasn’t happened should I just stay patient until who knows when or order now for a custom build £100-£150 more than it was December. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

The worldwide issues are set to continue for at least the rest of this year, if recent news is anything to go by...

So it depends how patient you’re willing to be, things may get worse before they get better. If that £150 is disposable income that’s not going to leave you destitute you may as well order now.

Unfortunately we all expected the prices to drop sooner. Instead, they just spiked.

Don't know what to say, to be honest. I've just bought my PC a week ago, got tired of waiting :) But already noticed prices dropped a few tenners since then. However, some parts got out of stock... Prices fluctuate quite often now. Depending on how flexible your budget is and how patient you are ;)

Also Ethereum will soon not be profitable to mine with the new update coming, so unless miners find something else, we will probably slowly go back to a normal phase :)

It will take at least a year for manufacturers to reach a demand. No sooner than the end of the next year, I'd guess. Electric vehicles and other new technologies demand for CPUs. So it may happen that GPUs may get cheaper but CPUs more expensive. Furthermore, Chia crypto may start threatening to the SSD prices some time this or next year.

Well it might be the time to buy some SSD and sell them when it'll be there 😂
