What's your experience of Zotac and Palit cards?

I've read that they're prone to overheating, have noisy fans and are generally unreliable. I would have shelled out the extra for an ASUS but from the sounds of things I'd have to wait until February. I've been in pre-production for 16 working days with a 5950x and a 3090 and I've just been told it's moving into being built, which is great, but I can't help but feeling I've made a mistake by opting out of the ASUS. Am I going to end up with something that sounds like it's taking off or just crashes all the time?

My current card is a Gigabyte 2070 which has been pretty decent. If Zotac/Palit are on par with that in terms of noise/temp then I'd be happy with that.

What's your experience of these brands?

With the 2080 Series the Zotac was one of the best (The AMP! Series). I went for it myself after the reviews were so positive.

I wouldn't have any issues at all with a Zotac card personally but with the 3000 series in mind I think the Asus TUF OC is the best card to go for (Far better value than the STRIX).

My GPU is a Palit, its a 1060 and is about 4.5 years old so far and its still fine, no overheating or anything else noticed.
I think my previous 770 was a Palit (though I could be wrong) as well and it also had no issues
(I don't have any personal experience of anything later than the 1060)

I’ve got a single fan Palit 2060, no overheating issues and it’s rather quiet as well. I haven’t seen it hit over 70c and once I’m done with a game it quickly cools down to a nice 26c. It’s my first Palit card and I’m impressed.

Thanks for the responses. This all sounds good. FYI, I just got an email saying my order has moved into testing, just a few hours after getting the build notification. Really impressed with how fast things are going.

Excited to get the new build and from the above responses I guess I'll stop worrying about fans/overheating! But if anyone has a 30xx Zotac/Palit and wants to share their thoughts, please feel free.
