Whats The Best Way To Connect 2 Displays To An NVIDIA 1660 Ti?

I currently have an LG display connected to my new PC with an NVIDIA 1660 Ti in it via a HDMI cable where I can get 4K HDR :)

For my second display (Samsung 1080p display) which of the remaining two ports on my graphics card (DVI and DisplayPort) is the better one to connect my 2nd display to, are they the same thing/quality but just different connectors/ports is one better than the other?

DP is better for higher pixel counts, but as your outputting to 1080p that’s not relevant so either will do the same job.

Are you planning to game at 4K or just media?

Currently gaming in 4K HDR :)

Not gotten around to the Media side of things yet - I have a Windows Server with 2 HDDs mirrored that I currently use Plex to stream to my Smart TV - I plan to retire the server and install the 2 HDDs in to my new PC but not sure if Windows 10 will pickup the Mirror or not (done via Disk Management in Windows) I guess there's only one way to find out!

Are you sure you want to retire the old system? Power consumption and noise can be higher in desktops than a system designed more to be a media server.

I don't understand.

Why would I play a game in low resolution, with all settings set on low on an Intel 620 graphics based system when I have a new PC with a 6GB NVIDIA 1660 Ti in it where I can play games in 4K HDR?

You said you had 2 HDDs in your media server. I was asking whether you were sure you wanted to retire the system instead of just keeping it as a media server. In case it has lower power consumption and/or is quieter than your new PC.

I don't use my main PC as the media server for this reason.

But obviously you game on the new system

Oh! It's been a long day!!! I took the day off from work to play around with my new Desktop so I've been up to all sorts and got muddled up with what I was talking about! :)

The reason I'm considering retiring my media server is the Plex App on my LG TV keeps on crashing so I was considering using my Desktop to run a media app instead and in that scenario, adding a couple of WD RED HDDs to my desktop wouldnt add too much power to it.
