What speed memory

Hi All, i have an Optimus II that i purchased last year and have a question about memory speed.
I am not sure what motherboard i have but i have got Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-2630QM (2.00GHz) 6MB Cache.

I have done some searching and am getting conflicting results on memory speed,
Some sources are stating the memory speed my system can handle is 1066/1333Mhz
and other are stating my system can run 1666Mhz memory.

Can somebody please let me know what motherboard is in my system or a way of finding out, and a difinitive (if possible) ansawer on what speed my system will handle.

^ Judging by the fact that you have a choice between 1333MHz and 1666MHz memory on the configuration screen, it should surely mean you can run up to 1666MHz.

By the way, for what it's worth, general consensus is that there is no noticeable difference between the two speeds when it comes to games and most applications. People do claim to see a performance boost when it comes to tasks such as video, audio or photo processing, though.

there won't be any noticeable difference between the 1333Mhz and the 1600Mhz. You can also order the memory from PCS.

thanks for the replies. I will go for another 4GB 1333Mhz stick.

One other question, I have seen 2 lots of memory but, one is CH9 and the other CL9, whats the difference?
