What spec for Football Manager?

Hi all,

The missus brother is looking for a new laptop for FM. He's asking me, what spec would he need to play it comfortably. Ofc, I could never suggest those cowboys at PC Word/Curry's/argos. But hes not wanting to spend along 300-400, so that might be his only option. #

I've never played FM, so I have no idea what it will run on. I was thinking of an I5 with 8gig ram, 1080x1920 screen, integrated gpu. But I don't think the money will stretch to that.

Any suggestions?

thanks in advance.

I think Integrated gpu should be fine. But why don't you just admit it, it's for you isn't it?

as far as im aware tom is banned from PC World after the last 'incident'. If I remember rightly it got very very messy with one poor salesman still in therapy...

But yeah integrated graphics are fine, its CPU power FM wants and a fast HDD, which you will struggle to get but hey ho....

hahah lol, they do try and sell you junk!

I had a look on PCS, but for less than £400. It would be a struggle.

We found one from Argos with an Ivy i5 (with hyper threading). 4gig ram, a 500gb hdd, 15.6 inch for less than 400. So that's not too bad. Can always chuck in some more ram/better hdd if needed.
