I am just waiting for Witcher 3 to go on sale on steam, got skyrim when it came out, never was a big fan of Total War not the Civ games and loved human rev so may look into picking up mankind divided. Thanks

Banished is SimCity/Cities Skylines but medieval. It's also one of the most frustrating and challenging games I've played. But seem to play for 6+ hours at a time and lose all sense of time.

Yeah Witcher 3 is great once you get used to the controls and clunky menus. It has a really dark and brutal world, some excellent stories and the graphics are pretty much the best you can find in video games at the moment (if your PC can run it on high or higher that is).
The remastered one probably won't be anywhere near as pretty as original Skyrim + all the amazing graphics mods people have made.
Wash your mouth out! Rome 2 is horrendous as far as Total War games go. Get Shogun 2 + its expansion Fall of the Samurai!
Oh and maybe Civ 6. The jury's still out on whether it'll be good or whether it'll suck.
Alien: Isolation is a proper hidden gem of a game if you're a fan of Alien and also a fan of slow paced survival/horror games.

Modded skyrim is pretty cool for a DX9 game for sure. http://imgur.com/a/cbojM
But with these mods, many of which will certainly updated for the remastered version, and the extra features of DX11 such as there are in FO4, I think it will be possible to go that step further. The hair in FO4 still looks pretty rubbish without some colour editing, but at least it has some kind of physics/animation, so if we just get that it will be a bonus - it looks vastly better than vanilla skyrim hair, even with the great realistic lore-friendly 2k hair mod. The HDT hair mods for Skyrim are cool, but they can conflict with other HDT mods and some of them look either too clean/neat/shiny or too anime for my Skyrim tastes. But each to their own ofc.
I've had to mod FO4 significantly less to get the visuals as impressive as modded Skyrim, and the countryside runs much, much better (60fps cap rather than ~40-45fps). FO4's urban areas are horrendous for me, FPS drops down to 15 or so, but since Skyrim's environment is more like the wasteland than Boston, I'm optimistic.
If they just fix the freaking ice shader (screenshot 4, wall on the right side of the pic) I'll be happy.

I have Far Cry 3 but my PC would pretty much throw a fit if I try to ran it so will have to finally tried it, had Borderlands 2 on PS4 and found it quite boring.
I have a list of about 40 mods for Skyrim haha so hopefully it will look good and then a few other things for gameplay.
Any FO4 mods you can recommend?

I thought Civ VI looked horrible in the screenshots too, but after watching some actual footage on Youtube the graphics/art style has grown on me a lot.

Sorry for the delayed reply, here's my current WIP mod list. It's still experimental, haven't finished my first playthrough yet and there are plenty of mods I haven't checked out yet (I hardly have any weapon/armour mods, just a few clothes). Some of the mods overwrite each other to the point of making them obsolete, I haven't pruned my install lately. I also did a few tweaks to various mods myself (e.g. changed True Reporter so Piper wears the clothes by default rather than having to craft and give her a revamped version of her own outfit...)
Some of these mods can break things in the game, especially the Settlement Menu. There are genrerally fixes, but as with any mod you consider downloading you should RTFM first rather than just yoloswag your way through the Nexus.
A few of the mods rely on F4SE (Fallout 4 Script Extender, from the same people who did SKSE). FO4 is still being patched by Bethesda, and whenever there is a patch you can't play the game with F4SE and therefore any dependent mods until F4SE itself is also patched. The simple fix is to stop the game auto updating in steam, but people sometimes get screwed by steam 'forgetting' that setting anyway.
Notes:
'Welcome to Goodneighbor' This adds quests to goodneighbour, and frankly any quest content additions to FO4 are sorely needed. But while the quests are neat, the voice acting will break immersion for many people. Also the mod is highly buggy.
'NSA No Settlement Attacks' - generally stops the settlement attacks which are a fairly big part of gameplay as far as Bethesda were concerned but is horrendously annoying imo.
I also use Subtle ENB and Shadowboost (the shadow distance changing dynamically before my eyes is less immersion-breaking than the slide-show the game would otherwise be).

Stranded Deep - basically this is castaway, plane crash, on a deserted island and you have to survive (best looking ocean I've seen in any game).
DayZ - Zombies and Survival
Prison Architect - you have to build a maximum security prison, but you can also be a prisoner and try and escape other peoples prisons
Kingdom Come : Deliverance - This is currently in Beta but the graphics are stunning, it's like Skyrim but without the Dragons, spells and monsters etc, set in the 13 century
Life is Feudal : Your Own - currently near 600hrs on this, really great game, best way to describe it is Minecraft for grownups in a Medevil time (1032)

Stranded Deep sounds good, and keep meaning to try Prison Architect.
As for Life is Feudal, this has been something me and my friends have been debating on trying for some time. We gave Empyrion Galactic Survival a try first.
