what do you think about Planetside 2?

Not played it in a while as I jump around games a lot and rarely stick to one game for a large amount of time. I really enjoyed the game but I wouldn't say it was a jump in and play on your own kind of game due to how large it is. I strongly recommend joining up with a clan who have a high active member count and use voIP (Teamspeak / Mumble etc) so that you all go to the same place together and work as a team so you don't either A) wander round aimlessly looking for a big fight or B) get your arse constantly handed to you because you're on your own.

Yea like Kali said it's a bit of a difficult game to become immersed in. The gameplay is ok and you can get into some really big battles which are like nothing you've ever played before... But then there's the fact that it is far too large at times and you don't really feel like you're influencing the flow of the battle at all.

It's the kind of game where you can play for 3 hours and still not really feel like you've done anything. Plus I begin to miss the 20 minute breaks inbetween games like other fps's just to get an idea of how everybody did and then all start over fresh.

It's a good game but they kind of trick you into paying real money if you want to do decent (or play for a very long time) and it can feel pretty lonely at times if you're not finding constant battles.
