Ok so I have used my computer for about a year on segate 1tb HDD and everything was fine. About a week ago I got a new samsung 840 evo 120gb drive and installed windows on it. Everything was fine until yesterday. So when I shut down my computer it was do the whole installing updates thing which is quite normal but is was 157 which was really weird. It took ages to install and finally shut down. Today I turned it back on and it did the normal configuring thing. Now I waited for a while and it was on 0% than next time I look at it it says failure configuring windows updates reverting back. So it reverts and boots up normally. I went into computer properties and went the windows update thing manually and I clicked download and installed. So it downloaded them all and during installing it went black and than blue screen. I tried to get a pic of the screen but it was all to fast and it said some stuff about if this is the first time seeing this screen restart than at the bottom some stuff about the disk IDK. I was very panicked. So it restarted normally... The only reason I could think this was happening is because of Samsung Rapid mode on my ssd. If you do not know samsung has a rapid mode where the ssd uses ram to become faster. They say it has no risk but when I was posting about the lightning fast speeds it gives you someone was saying something about "I turned of rapid because it gave me problems". The only thing I could think of was that. So I turned of rapid mode and rebooted the weird thing was is after the windows logo normally a computer goes into the blue welcome screen however my ssd was always too fast that it just went straight into windows. This time it did go to the blue screen for a couple of seconds and when it booted up I quick seen the cmd black box for a second. Which is weird because rapid doesn't affect boot times.
I have no idea whats happening I'm going to try and install the updates again now that I turned of Rapid but idk I hope it doesn't blue screen again. I'm literally ****ting myself
Currently: I restored my computer to yesterday I think. I have turned of rapid mode and I am downloading and installing updates. It downloaded alright and it's installing them so far so good without blue screens. When I restored the number of updates dropped to 114. I am currently on 99 or 114 and it has been stuck on that for a while it's Internet Explorer 11 for windows 7 for x64-based systems. Hope this works
