Weird Problem on the Iphone 6 0_o

Ohkay i know this will sound weird cuz i've never heard anything like this before and can't find anything about it on the net either so stick with me here.

I have an iphone 6 that i've been using for a few months flawlessly but then around 2 weeks ago when i loaded up Instagram pornographic images started popping up on my feed from people i know. Turns out i open them and the actual picture is something completely normal yet the thumbnail is some form of pornographic image. This doesn't happen to all photos but 1 in like every 10 or so.

I thought maybe its a problem with Instagram. Deleted it and reinstalled so i could clear any data for the app on the iphone yet the problem persisted. And just today the same thing has happened to the dailymotion app so im guessing its not just the app but the phone. Any help what so ever would be appreciated.

I would contact apple directly

I would agree with Keynes, I'd take it to an apple shop and show them first hand. To fix it is fairly straightforward, you just reflash the firmware, but it can be a little tricky and would be best for an apple member of staff to do as there is a chance of bricking the phone.

More importantly though, as it sounds like a virus, apple would be very keen to see it first hand as they'll want to find out how it got on your phone and how to prevent it going forward.

Out of interest, do you use any third party app stores? Are you running stock IOS or Cydia or something?

Plain Stock Everything....No jailbreaks or anything of the sort which is why i found it more weird. Initially just thought it was the app going haywire...but yeah not it seems to be something more serious :/

In that case, I'd definitely get it to apple. A virus on an iphone is a rare thing and usually as a result from downloading from the chinese app stores, so how you got it would be very interesting to them.
