Webcam Not Working?

Hello all,

I bought my new laptop a while back (17.3 Optimus). Never had any need for the webcam until recently where I started to teach a friend guitar lessons via Skype. The camera doesn't work at all nor is there anything in the start menu recognising a camera being there. I wondered am I missing some software which needs installing or am I just being dumb?

you may need to install the drivers for it.

You could either use the disk provided.

OR

go into device manager, find the webcam, and update the drivers that way.
