Water Damage - PC Won't Turn On

Morning Guys,

So, the last week I managed to knock a small amount of water onto the top fan of my PC. As soon as I knocked the water on, I immediately turned the PC off at the plug. I left it to dry out for a few days before attempting to turn it back on - It wouldn't turn on. No signs of any power going into it at all.
I then decided to take the parts out one at a time to try and see if it was just a single part that was damaged - After I took one of the RAM chips out it did power up, however I am getting nothing on my monitor, and no motherboard beeps or anything like that - just fans and lights working..
I have tried removing the graphics card and plugging a VGA cable into the other slot, there is no change.
I am assuming this means there is a problem with my motherboard? I suppose I just want to check on here to see if there is anything else I should try? I obviously do not want to spend hundreds on a new motherboard/processor only to have it still not work.. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thank you in advance :)

You could see if the water has caused any oxygesation on the board? we have this all the time with PCBs at work.

I can't see any obvious damage to the board, although the water did go on the fan, so I can imagine it got sprayed everywhere inside. There is some residue on the RAM that I took out.

Is there any other way I can help narrow down what part might be causing the issue (other than taking RAM and graphics card out as I have done already)?

You say it will not turn on, but is there any power to motherboard at all? Any LEDs on it indicating power being provided to it? Maybe fans are spinning?
You checked fuse in your kettle lead?

Yes, after taking one of the RAM cards out (left the other one in) it does turn on, lights on and fans spinning - so fuse is fine - but no beeps and nothing on the monitor. Have to hold down the power button to turn it off. Still nothing on the monitor after taking the graphics card out and plugging into the other vga port.
