Warranty will be voided:
(blah blah blah) OR if you have moved/removed a component, your warranty will be void. You are only entitled to add extra components to your computer.

Does this mean replacing the 250GB HD that is coming in my Enigma II with a Momentus XT 500GB void the warranty?
Thanks in advance.

i'm pretty sure it would only void the warranty on the HD , not the laptop - but let a mod answer this one.

Replacing an HDD shouldnt void anything, only if you start unscrewing it etc, but ill double-check this one, sounds odd to me.

Yes - replacing a component will not void your warranty. However, if you were to return your laptop for a fault caused by the replaced hard drive this wouldn't be covered.

Thanks! Is it easy to change the harddrive in an Enigma i7? Is there a panel or does the whole bottom need removed?
