Before I ask a silly question of PCS regarding a recent RMA of mine,

If you have got the Silver/Gold/Platinum warranty that includes collection costs for RMA's does anyone know if that also covers the peripherals (keyboards etc.)?

It seems for some parts PCS will offer an advance replacement (ie they will send the replacement before expecting the return from me) but for others (keyboard for instance) its 'standard' where they will receive the faulty item before repairing/replacing it. As I have the platinum warranty, does that not mean PCS can/will arrange to collect my faulty item from me? Or does it only cover items which are 'advance replacement'?

I would expect the warranty to cover also peripherals but I remember you mentioning sending a mouse at your own expense. Sorry don't know the answer :confused:

Yeah I'm kinda hoping that was my own stupidity for not 'requesting' a collection.

I'll have a chat to PCS about it today when they confirm my RMA :)

Quick update, just got off phone to PCS - for peripherals (keyboards/mouse etc.) they usually ask that we post it back to them via recorded delivery and then they will refund the cost of the postage if its within the warranty period.

Didn't realise that, I'll have to see if I've still got the receipt for the mouse :)

Well if its an advance replacement item then the courier that drops off the 'replacement' picks up the 'faulty' item at the same time. No postage required.

Will get the keyboard in the post today and hopefully PCS will receive it on Monday :)

atleast pcs are refunding you postage, those keyboards are heavy, so its gonna cost a bit lol. would probably have been cheaper for pcs to send dpd with a replacement.

Yeah I did ask lol.

Now its just how to send it back :p I've still got its box, thats probably sufficient really I don't have any other 'larger' boxes to put it in unfortunately. Except for the super massive one the other peripherals came in (welcome pack etc.). Might wrap it in bubble wrap or something.
