Hello I am thinking about buying the Vyper Laptop with these specs:

Now I wonder what you guys think of the performance of this laptop. Do you experience any heating problems and what do you think about the screen? And how does it compare to other top brand (MSI, ASUS, Dell) laptops with the same specs?

And also i saw with other models that it is possible to add a better kind of cooling paste, but that option was not available with this one?

The scores posted by the Vyper in the Vortez review are in line with what you'd expect to see on any other 1060 (unsurprisingly). :)

No idea about the paste. I'd suggest asking PCS directly (the forums are mostly for the customer community). If you ask them, do let us know what they say. I was wondering about that yesterday actually.

I got a responce of PCS about the cooling paste:

"You are correct that the cooling options on other laptops do offer additional thermal paste options. We do find however that the thermal operation on both the Vyper and Recoil chassis are well within limitation and guidelines to maintain performance on those high end components.

It does so occur however that the Vyper chassis requires extensive labour for a repaste to be possible. Should you wish to have aftermarket thermal paste be used on this chassis there is paste and labour cost of an additional £20 or 30eu.

I would however put my strong faith in the OEM paste which is used by the chassis manufacturer on this chassis. In our tests is performs very well when compared against our range and even compared against repasted other models with the same spec. The cooling system on this chassis is quite robust. "
