Vulnerability in 7zip

I'm guessing that many on here will be using the excellent compression toolkit called 7zip. A serious vulnerability has been discovered in all but the latest version so everyone should ensure they're using the latest 18.05 version from https://sourceforge.net/p/sevenzip/discussion/45797/thread/adc65bfa/.

A good resource for getting the latest software, with no crud and where applicable, with offers and addons already declined is www.ninite.com

Just simply select all the applications you want, and it'll create a single download file. Run it, and it downloads and installs everything you've checked.

Best bit - not sure if you need to update? Re-run the same file and it'll redownload all the same applications again, making sure you get the latest available.

For a free resource, it's fantastic. Used it for years to get my usual suspects (Notepad++, 7-Zip, TeamViewer and a few others).
