I use Ubuntu but can't answer that problem from personal experience. http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...-p370-webcam-other-devices-linux-drivers.html suggests that it ought to 'just work'. Can I suggest that you use the Ubuntu forums or the ubuntu-uk mailing list. There's bound to be someone there who can give an answer. Does lshw or lsusb or lspci show the existence of a webcam, and is it possible that yours is faulty?

And did you remove the wee transparant, protective sticker that might prevent the camera from working? That made mine 'faulty' until I noticed that bit. Btw A quick easy way to check the camera, is to use it with videolan (VLC -> media -> open capture device -> Capture mode =video for linux 2 ; video-device = /dev/video0 on my slakare box)...

Good luck,

Hi, I am using a Voyager II which is less than a month old and have installed 12.04 LTS. I installed Cheese Webcam Booth from the software centre. All I can say is that it seems to work, shows an image of what is in front of the camera and takes a picture of it but I have not tried to do anything else with it.

Running linux lite 1.0.6, installed Kamoso as well as webcam monitor.

FN+F10 will disable the camera, however does not enable it again, restarting Kamoso gets the camera back up.

I installed Kamoso which worked great, however as stated my Stephen M cheese is also good, and after installing it after Kamoso, Cheese give a much better picture and smoother playback.
