Whenever the CD-Rom drive is spinning at a high speed it makes a really loud vibrating noise. I first noticed this when I was installing guild wars 2.
I checked around on the web, some people thought it may be due to the angle when a laptop is on a cooler, so I tried it without and still the same problem. It could have also been the disk, so I tried a different disk (the driver one which comes with the laptop). Had the same issue, although it did not seem to be as loud, I'd put this down to the drive not spinning as fast (you could certainly hear the loud vibrating sound rising up).
I've only had the laptop since 19.11.2012, so I was wondering what people thought on the matter. Should I contact PCS and just get them to look at it? I've ruled out any external factors as far as I can tell and so I just put it down to a fault with the laptop. I'm guessing either the guy at quality control had some serious hearing issues (joking of course) or that DPD weren't so careful. Slightly surprised being damaged in a courier given I opted for the extra special care delivery.
