Hey,
I've had my Vortex III for about 11 months now, but recently i've started using Voice Comms and I have bought multiple different microphones/headsets and the microphone quality is atrocious. Is this a common problem and resolvable or is it just how the motherboard is?

Also is it possible to buy an internal sound card?

Thanks

Craig

It's not possible to install an internal sound card in a laptop, far as I know anyway.

Unfortunately an external sound card is the only way to go. I know what you mean though, the on-board audio quality is the biggest flaw of the Vortex III in my opinion.

Ahhh ok thank you both for the replies!

@Tom, do you recommend any external sound cards? I'm not after anything fancy just something to improve the sound quality.

I haven't tried anything in particular but no doubt a relatively basic USB sound card would still be an improvement over the quality of the onboard microphone output.

Might be worth finding a cheap one online and seeing what some of the user reviews say, I was looking at one point and most of them were quite favorable.
