Vortex II 15'' Won't power on

I shutdown my laptop about 1 hour ago to go out. I can't seem to power laptop back on. The orange light comes on when I plug the AC in and when I attempt to power it on the Green light comes on then blinks and reverts back to the orange light.

Laptop is only a week old.

Any advice? I will use the official support tomorrow if I can't fix this.

Take out the battery,restart on mains power,
If it starts ok,shut down,unplug laptop & reinsert battery.

Thanks but it was the first thing I tried with no joy.
