Well.....I ordered one of these PCs today, and within a few hours I find out that the H310 motherboard limits the hard drive speeds. PCS Live Chat have advised that the motherboard can support full speed of the M.2 SSD but if combined with a SATA drive the two share the speeds. Is this correct?
I must admit I'm rather confused. For some reason because it's a pre-built next day PC it doesn't flag up that the motherboard can't support the SSD speeds, I guess because there isn't the option to change it. It's not helpful that it doesn't make you aware though, as I can see this has the potential of significantly limiting the PC's performance.
I tried the configurator to see what happens if I change the SSD and motherboard. The error that comes up is "Due to the limitations of the motherboard you have selected, the M.2 SSD Drive will be restricted to 1000MB/s Read and 800MB/s Write"
I was advised on LiveChat that "the B360M will not limited where as the H310M-A will be limited "
Is anyone on here able to advise please? I was looking forward to my new PC arriving tomorrow but now I'm hesitant to make too much of a start setting it up in case it's got to go back.
