Vortex 17.3" Replacement Battery Not Working, Any Fixes?

Hi all,

I decided to purchase a new battery for my Vortex 17.3" laptop as the original battery life was becoming short when it wasn't plugged in. However, upon receiving the battery and inserting it into the laptop, the battery doesn't appear to be charging (i.e. the desktop symbol has a cross on it), and the laptop's performance has a noticeable delay when typing/clicking etc.

I was wondering if there was something I'd have to do to fix the issue, or if I'd simply have to have PCSpecialist send another battery.

I would contact PCS and get another sent out. In the meantime, I'd stick the laptop on charge whilst powered off and see if that kicks it into life.
