quick question when im on the config my pc, what will I need to select on the usb section to take advantage of these? or will they be connected and used even if I select the (6 usb 2.0 ports min 2 front ports) as standerd??
thanks!

I think it depends if the motherboard has the necessary USB 3.0 ports to connect the front USB 3.0 case ports.
Most modern motherboards should have this option.

You should be fine then, that motherboard has 2 USB 3.0 ports at mid-board.
Specifications.
6 x USB 3.0 port(s) (4 at back panel, blue, 2 at mid-board)
14 x USB 2.0 port(s) (6 at back panel, black, 8 at mid-board)

I have the same motherboard in my PC, and they do connect the front USB3 to your board (if your case uses the mid board headers they use that, if the case uses the back usb port as a hub they'll connect that.)
