Upgrading to Fast-build a few days after placing the order.

Hello,

I have ordered a 14" Defiance II laptop on 23rd Sep 2016 with the standard build option. After two days in the processing stage, the order has progressed to the pre-production stage today. I got to know yesterday that I will be travelling in the next couple of weeks and I don't think I can wait for the 10+ days taken in a standard build. Would upgrading to a Fast-build option make a difference at this stage? If yes, assuming that I opt for a 5 day dispatch, will the laptop be dispatched 5 working days from today or 5 working days from the date of the original purchase?

I have asked this query to PC specialist today and I haven't gotten a response from them till now. I am getting a little desperate coz I'll be travelling soon. Any help with this query would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It would be 5 working days from the time you upgraded to Fast-Track (they couldn't do from date of purchase because depending when you upgraded to Fast-Track it may not give them time to build, test and dispatch)

Thanks. I was hoping that it would take lesser than 5 days since the process had already started a few days back. Anyway, thanks! It's good to know that I can at least opt for the faster building at this stage.

Call them and explain your situation, see what they can do. As always, calling the customer services should be the first thing you do in situations like this. :chef:
