Ive got a 1080 upgrade on order, and will be fitting it myself. Question is whether ill be able to fit the power cable to the new card easily. Im not sure if the current card I have is of the 8pin variety like the 1080 is. So will it be just a quick and easy swap over of the power pin or will it be harder. Due to the 'non-modular' power supply I have. Im not an expert but have swapped out components before. Hopefully Im making sense and yall know what I mean :p

Really dumb question, but can't you open the case and see if your 780 has an 8 pin already plugged into it?

Since the reference has an 8 pin + 6 pin, I imagine your cables should be fine for the 1080

It looks like each of the PSU's 4 PCI-E cables has a 6+2 anyway, so you should be fine to just plug in any of the appropriate PCI-E / VGA cables (depending how they're labelled).
