Upgrade?

Hi There

I hope someone will be able to help me

I am looking to upgrade my system. I purchased this brilliant pre build in 2015 (see below). It has served me well and continues to - however I am aware that I am starting to not be able to run the latest games as well. I recently bought a 1440p monitor and it really has brought new life into this system (I know who would have thought!)
However it has given me an itch and would like to look into the possibility of upgrading either what I have - or saving up and purchasing a brand new build.

I was wondering what people would recommend in terms of an upgrade? Is it possible (and easy) to upgrade the CPU and motherboard as well as GPU to be able to the other bits like water cooler, PSU etc

Just wondering what everyone would recommend - would buying or would a new system be more cost effective?

We can't really comment on this sort of thing here unfortunately. You can see what upgrades you're eligible for on your online account but its unlikely that you'll get motherboard/etc. upgrades (generally that is basically a new PC).

Just a thought though: if you're upgrading your motherboard, cpu, gpu and psu then you are essentially getting a new PC :)

Oh I am sorry I had no idea of that rule

Yes I have looked at this and it says a RAM upgrade and a GPU but I wouldnt class the GPUs offered as an upgrade if that makes sense.

But yes you are right I guess it is a new build in a way.

Just wasnt sure what was best to do - a whole system upgrade or just those components.

Not sure if I am allowed to ask this but would my CPU require upgrading? I know it is 5 years old but would a RAM and GPU upgrade be a better option in the interim?
