Hello I thought I'd share this fix in case others have the same problem.
Since receiving my new PC, I have had an unknown device which has been bugging me. I finally got round to looking at it today and it seems to be a problem with Asus boards and windows 10.
In Device manager, I right clicked on it, went to properties, details then looked at the hardware ID which was root\NetTap6. Auto updating the driver did not work so I pointed it in the direction of C:\ProgramData\ and selected look in all sub folders. This installed the appropriate Lan drivers and all is well.
BTW it worked fine before I updated it, there was no affect on the system but it has appeased my OCD!
