What do you think about it? I am a bit concerned that the graphics cards won't work together. Could you guys please confirm that for me and post any oppinions on it?

Thank you

Why do you need so much memory, what are you planning on using this machine for? Are you doing a lot of rendering?

Graphics Card
3GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 580 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready
2nd Graphics Card
3GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 580 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready

Those two cards will run perfectly fine together, you can probably also heat the house with them whilst you're at it :)

What do you think about it?
Very powerful, but if you can tell us what you're planning on using it for we can probably make some suggestions, cos there are very very very few reasons why you would actually need such a powerful machine :)

Looks like a true beast! I would recommend upgrading to the haf-x case as it provides better cooling. Also, for the second HDD, I'd suggest a caviar black as they are very fast drives and the 2Tb is the same as the 1TB so would give you extra storage. Other than that, that is probably the most powerful pc I have ever seen posted here! Enjoy it!

I would be using it for Gaming mostly. I do want to future proof it as much as possible. I will use the case that you advised me along with the 2tb caviar black HDD. I might do some video editting on it from time to time for some rendering but nothing heavy.

It will be mostly gaming, and I am a bit embarrassed now due to the massive amount of overkill but I want to be boosting it like a beast.

There is a difference between future proofing and complete overkill :)
If you want to be overkill with RAM for gaming then you can drop down to 16GB (which is still overkill in my books), you certainly will not need 32GB :)

Also unless you have specific needs for Win7 Ultimate you could drop down to Win7 Home Premium (which has a 16GB RAM limit on it).

32GB of ram is HUGE, gaming wont touch 8GB yet let alone 32GB. Your dual 580's will probably be junk by the time you need over 8GB to game on really. I would strongly advise you to save the cash, if you want futureproof get 16GB as has already been suggested anything more is pointless.

With 32GB you can set up a RAM CACHE to speed things up applications in use (e.g. a 8GB RAM CACHE).

In addition to this you can also set up a RAM DISK (e.g. 16GB RAM DISK) storing your most popular programs (or a game) on it to really increase the speed - though the downside to a RAM DISK is that it needs to save itself to your SSD (or wherever) on shutdown (and load on startup).

ASUS ROG forum lists software which does these two things (I have done the RAM CACHE but not the RAM DISK yet) with useful guides (and there are corresponding YouTube videos illustrating the speed difference).

I'm using the PC for database stuff with the odd bit of gaming - I have no idea what effect it would have on gaming (if any) sorry.
