UEFI to Legacy mode - CSM option not showing

I want to wipe a Windows 8.1 laptop and clean install Windows 7 from a CD. Laptop is an ASUS X551M.

I understand that with Windows 8 you have this UEFI, which needs to be changed such that you can change the boot order.

Following online instruction says to hold Shift whilst pressing restart then going into troubleshoot, advanced options, UEFI Firmware settings then restart (on the blue screen).

Then in the UEFI Bios Disabling the Secure Boot Control in the Security tab. Ive doe this but it also says in the Launch CSM option to change to enable. Problem is this option is not showing. So how to I change to Legacy mode so that I can change the Boot device order and boot from the CD?

Thanks in advance James

Laptops have locked down bios often, so if an option isn't present it's usually because it's been enabled by default and not selectable.

You don't really need the CSM option anyway, once secure boot is disabled, you should get all drives as options to boot in the quick boot menu.
