Case: I've chose the HAF 932 case (use it myself) and it's one big case, loads of room for expansion and such, plus unlike the HAF X you can have an internal card reader which can be useful

GPU: I've selected the GTX580 as it's an amazing card and, going by the GTX570 card, it's easy to hook it up to a TV (as long as you have the right cable ofcourse)

CPU: I've suggested the 2500k as I've read a few times on other threads that it can reach pretty similar overclocked speeds as the 2600k

PSU: For futureproofing I've included a HX1000W power supply which will, if you require, enable you to SLI (have two Nvidia GPU's running at once) two GTX580's (this is also the reason for choosing the motherboard as this has SLI capabilities)

If you do want to change any of these (e.g. you may not wish to SLI at a later date so you could reduce the PSU and motherboard) let me know and I can have a look at respeccing something for you :)

Nvidia cards have improved dramatically and they've got some of the best cards on the market now, just look at the GTX500 series! I run the GTX470 and have no problems at all with multiple monitors, I regularly have my TV hooked up as a 2nd display :)
The ATI cards however, do have Eyefinity technology which looks fantastic and if you want multiple monitor setups, ie 3 to 6, then a highend ATI card is the way to go.

Whats your rig going to be used for by the way?

Will you be overclocking? If not, I'd drop down to the stock 2600 instead of the k version as thats for overclocking only really.

Do you need a Blu-Ray drive? I personally use a lot of digital media rather than discs now.

If you're not overclocking as mentioned before you probably won't need liquid cooling, have you selected this for any specific reason? Same goes for thermal paste, normal will do fine unless overclocking.

@ micky thanks for that alternate spec but id really rather stay with ATI i know the 570 and 580 hav alil more beanz than the top end ATI cards but for some reason i just dont or cant trust nvidia... yeah i will be looking into getting an Xfire setup about 10 12 months down the road when same card is half the price :)....as for psu when i quoted this the PCS system chucked up i would only need a 650 psu and thats with 20% breathing room so i thought the high end corsair 750hx would be enough if i did wunna go xfire...mind u il prolly add another couple of sata drives so watts soon mount hey :(.....

@ JSG10

Mostly for gaming bit of vid editing photoshop the usual suspects :)... that spec off 1st msg i left was the overclocked version where as i understood its PCS do the overclocking for ya i just get a 4.7/8 instead of the stock 3.4 from the 2600k...hence the watercooling n stuff....as for the paste i jus want to give it the best chance possible to get chilled :)....i totally know what u mean about bluray just the odd epic film is always nice on uncompressed video and audio....yeah 1080p DL are not bad but nothing like true Bluray...

For 2 x amd 6970 you will need more than a 750w power supply, I would get the corsair 850w as a miniumum,

@ bg92...yeah i have been looking into that...might stretch to same psu as i 1st stated but 1000....peace of mind innit !!..

@ Nem....HE he i know who John Dillinger was :)...and yeah im into DNB, but not that generic nonsence pendulum n crew make i mean real DNB ..Photek, D-bridge, SPMC, old virus stuff, jus to name afew and as u probably know theres lots more sick producers

hes ordering an overclocked system mickyg

Edit : Your probably reading this thinking why cant he come up with an answer well when it comes to 2133mhz ram im lost too dont really see the point tbh

Edit : If this is a PCS overclocked system maybe you could check with them (over their official channels) whether that would affect the stability / max speed of the overclock and if not then stick with 1600mhz

Nice 1 for the info Boys...i'l give em a bell and see whats what i know what u mean though might jus roll 1600 and the overclock hey ?...also was thinking,ok cool il go with the 8 gig 2133 leaves me room to stick more in later. Wrong !!
The 8gig 2133 comes as 4 x 2's so i would acheive nothing :(

God !! now that sabertooth armor Mobo is an option..be nice to do a military stleath looking machine !!

haf- x full..gay red light off !

armour vest mobo

Alc 240 water cooler ...could be shaping up to be a nasty machine !!!
(oh except the only ram i think i can select or choose is bright blue :( !! )

i know colour doesnt really mean anything performance wise but if ya tryin to achevie a look aswell as max performance it kinda sucks ...
lol u can pay 1800 for a car and get colour coded bumpers...Any way enough of my ramberling thanks for info again !!

Call pcs and ask if you can supply your ram that you've purchased to make the colour scheme work? btw what colour scheme are you trying to achieve??

I would jus go for a black and red theme, try asking pcs if they can source ram for your solour scheme black or red would do.
I will give some links for inspiration but after 2-3 hours. I gotta leave the house now.
but definately go with the saberthooth mobo :D

yeah i will i think...its definatley a marmite mobo, u love it or hate it...as for the thermal vest im not buyin it tbh but its the plain look (stealth almost) that i like and features of course....(new gui bios looks sweet !) going back to the thermal vest most if not all reviews i read said it makes real minimal difference with the vest on or off so for me its the low-key look :)

yeah im gettin a list of questions to ring pcs tom concerning 2133 ram and if they can source ram for me or if i buy and get it delivered to them !!...
