touchpad

the touchpad works, basically, i can mover the pointer, tap the pad etc

so i assume that this meens the driver is installed? although

i can't see synaptics in the control panel > mouse applet.

is there anything else i can do with it?

like set up a scroll area on the right hand side of the touch pad.

i use an external woless mouse most of the time but occasionally the touch pad is usefull

does this meen that the logitech mouse has taken over?

Unless Im mistaken there is no feature for the mouse auto shutting off the trackpad when plugged in. This is software controlled and something online MAY be available. Very annoying I know and something I loved about Dell laptops is that they had their own software for this.

ITs pretty basic and as far as I gather there is no scroll feature for this trackpad.

If you install the driver that is included on the CD that came with the laptop then it adds a lot more options for the trackpad, One / Two Finger scrolling, Pinch Zoom, different gestures and so on.

I think it was the touchpad option but you can also download it from http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-services/download/ftpout_download.asp?sno=5120&no=3. Or http://www.clevo.com.tw/en/e-services/Download.asp and select P150EM/P170EM and all in the first 2 list boxes.

Also if you want to customize the keyboard for colours other than the default blue you need to install the hotkey drivers.
