To SLI or not to SLI

Hopefully someone can help me with this decision.

I'm getting a new laptop and it will either be 17" with a 580M or 18" with 2 560M's SLI. Pretty much everything else in the machines is the same. It has to be nVidia so no suggestions of ATI please.

Now the 560Ms should perform better but it is a bigger laptop to lug around.

But the 580 is technically more advanced.

Thoughts?

Also how are people finding the keyboards on the Vortex and Viper boxes for long term typing?

The fastest is 2 x GTX 560M. However, it's a big laptop as you mentioned. If you want the very best, the Viper III is the choice to make. The GTX 580M is currently on special on the Vortex II, so the price is actually a little cheaper too.
