Time To Upgrade GPU?

Hi guys, looking for some advice to probably some fairly n00bish questions.

I have a GTX 560ti 2gb, it's a good card it's just not good enough and I want to be able to render videos quicker.

So I was thinking about an upgrade to a GTX 670 2gb as that's what I can afford.

Will I need a bigger PSU? I've got a 650w Corsair enthusiast bronze I think, maybe 750w not sure.

Also I've noticed the 670 uses 3.0 PCIE? Obviously I have the right kind of slot because I'm using a 560 ti but
will the card work? is advertising it in that way comparable to advertising something as USB 3.0 or do I not have the
slot on my motherboard?

Also thinking of upgrading RAM, do I have to (and should I) stick with the same speed? kingston hyper-x dual genesis 1600mhz 8gb.

I want more maybe 16gb total so I can render videos quicker and have more memory for shadows, shaders pixels etc not sure if they're stored in VRAM, in that case should I even get 3gb GPU?

Thanks :) I just don't want to slip out of being able to play games in awesome detail, of course I want the latest games and I really want a better frame rate than the 560 ti 2gb delivers on high settings.

Just for the record I did have my PC built by PC specialist in late 2011 :) I've got the red LED Storm Enforcer case :tt1:

personally i'd try and go for a GTX 770, with the upcoming AMD releases, GPU prices are dropping.

as for ram, yes same speed, timings, brand etc etc. Although if you have 8gig already, not really much need for more. (says the guy with 16gb lol)

I'd recommend a GTX 770 as-well, great card and good value for money.

The GTX 560 Ti is quite a meaty card in terms of TDP anyway, so no you won't need a larger PSU, as the GTX 770 won't eat up that much more power than the 560 anyway. The 560 Ti does about 210W, and the GTX 770 does 230W. Generally your 650W should be fine, you only need more if you're going to be running SLI or Crossfire set-ups. The GTX 770 has a recommendation for a 600W PSU, so 650 should do you fine.
