Thoughts on this spec please? Potent, but also capable of running reasonably quietly

Looking for fairly potent laptop for development/unity/vr hobbyist, but I still want it to be fairly quiet when not being pressed hard. How do you think something like this would fit?

Is there a reason why you need 32GB of RAM? I'd be tempted if you can afford it to try and spend the cash on the higher speed, most applications only need 16GB

In desktop machines the consensus would be to go AMD over Intel. I dont know what the AMD laptop options are tbh, but it might be worth you exploring those unless you specifically need Thunderbolt 3? You'll get a better bang for buck

Budget £2000. Highly spec'ed RAM because it's likely to be used to write computationally complex 3D applications; experiments with own game/3D engine, that sort of thing. I'd normally spec 16GB but had a bit of budget left, so spent on that I'm not sure a faster processor would do much, but a faster GPU might. It would be used for day-to-day stuff too though, so ideally it shouldn't sound like a helicopter when it's not being pushed flat out. The 2nd 1TB drive isn't essential; could use that budget elsewhere if need be. Not particularly bothered by thunderbolt.

I'm not that familiar with AMD processors; I usually go for Intel i7+ and haven't looked at the AMD range. Which AMD's are broadly comparable/faster? Is compatibility 100%?
