We had a 'light' frost with sunshine in Liverpool yesterday, and nothing but clouds today. The soothsayers at the MetOffice/Meteo say we'll get our dumping (all 1-3cm of it) tomorrow, so will be stocking up on essentials so that we can barricade ourselves in for the 'big one' of 2023.

We had a little bit up here in Cheshire earlier, but doesn't settle, driving back down to bucks tomorrow

We've had sleet on and off since lunchtime, but it hasn't stuck because of how damp it is. We've got a yellow warning for ice for the next couple of days, so I guess the sleet's turning to ice overnight. That's me housebound then! :ROFLMAO:

We're in Hampshire down south, it was trying to snow yesterday afternoon, but all this has come overnight.
Well, here on the Isle of Wight all we have had is rain. It always seems to be promises, promises which turn to lies.
I remember 1947 when we had the roads blocked with 6ft drifts but, even so, it melted within a few days.

The roads melted? That was a big temperature swing!
Well, not then, but the summer of 1947 was very hot and the tar on the roads inclined to melt in places. Every day during the summer holiday I would leave home in just swimming trunks and a towel round my neck and walk down to the beach for the day. Never had a summer like that since.

Edit - It was only the towel round my neck.
