Hi all,

Recently, I've had problems where my laptop randomly crashes with a blue screen, followed by a message stating "Syntp.Sys KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED". I was hoping you guys knew what the problem was and how to fix it.

Specs:
Vortex 17.3" Laptop
Intel Core i7 - 4940MX 3.10 GHZ
32GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 980M
Samsung EVO 1TB
Windows 10 64-bit

Try installing the latest touchpad drivers either from PCS or from Synaptics directly - this happened to me and was fixed quickly with the latest version.

We love you Ukraine
If you've only recently done windows 10 ver 1703, that caused major issues with my touchpad and external mouse to the point only a full reinstall of windows resolved it on my vortex iv.

Working great now after a reinstall.

Do you know where I could find those? Synaptics website wasn't very clear, and (as far as I'm aware) I'm using the drivers that came installed with my laptop/OS from PCSpecialist.

The PCS drivers for your model should be in the Download section of the Tech Support tab when you log in to your account. You could also uninstall the existing driver via device manager and let windows update do its own thing, or you could go to http://www.synaptics.com/resources#drivers and update from there, noting their suggestion to create a restore point first in case something weird happens. Hopefully you won't need the full windows reinstall that SpyderTracks had to go through!

Do you know if the PCSpecialist drivers are up to date?
