Hi,

Bought the Vortex III with i7-3720 processor and GTX 675 graphics card

My question is it keeps saying my graphics card is the integrated 4000 series graphics card and games arnt as sharp or fast as they should be, these are old games like ps2 games ffx-2, ff11
I updated the drivers from driver manager and it said there were no newer drivers for it

is there a way to sort this out?

Thanks

If you go into the nvidia settings,

then manage 3d settings,

go to global settings, select "high performance nvidia graphics processor"

then onto program settings

then on the list on games/programs scroll down to find ya games, choose ya game, then again select high performance nividia processor.

that should sort it mate,

you could dl fraps for free, as it shows you how many FPS you are getting whilst gaming, a good indication that ya using the 675m :)

If you set the global setting, would that not over-write the program settings?

Still useful to know, so thanks :)

I have the same problem with the gtx660m Vortex Series: 15.6", i have tried changing the setting it in the nvidia control panel. But then when i start again it goes and uses the HD4000 instead, confirmed by the gpu monitor from nvidia. I have installed the lastest drivers for both the hd4000 and the nvidia card. the only program that comes on in the gpu monitor is the nvidia control panel when i have the spinning logo.

any way to fix this?
