Surge Protector Plugs

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here but I'll try anyway.

My PC has been dispatched and I should get it in the next few days. I'm looking at getting a good surge protector plug because the one I have is over 12 years old. Can anyone recommend a good one? I want one with at least 6-8 sockets because I have a printer, monitor, speakers etc. I've looked at a few on Amazon but I can't be sure if they are much use.

That adapter was a bit too big and I don't need 12 sockets so I went for something similar but smaller:
