Surge protected extension lead - which one to buy?

Hi,

I am looking at buying a new surge protected extension lead. I currently use a Masterplug one, which has 8 sockets, but I only use 5 sockets and don't charge any devices via USB near my computer.

I have looked at the following brands, Masterplug and Belkin.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.

But why are you looking to change the Masterplug one if it's serving your needs? Not following why you need a different one?

I am looking to change my current Masterplug one because I can't utilise all of the sockets.

This is because when I have to plug in any of my main powered external USB HDDs, the socket opposite to it cannot be used at the same time.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.

Which model is your master plug? They usually have swivel sockets?

The Masterplug model that I currently have is: SRG82-MS.
