Struggling to get into Grid 2.

So, picked up grid 2 in the sale.

I'm trying to get into it. But I find that out of the two cars I'm actually aloud to drive, drift around every single corner. IS the whole game based on this? just sliding around each corner? I find it pretty boring. Same cause i spent a 8 quid on it.

Oh, and whats with the cars? so far I have a rubbish mustang and an equally rubbish Nissan. The others you seem to have to buy in the form of DLC. Do you get rewarded cars or something?

It does look very pretty, I anticipated it to be bit like forza (upgrading cars n the like) but it isnt really.

Grid 2 is bad and you should feel bad.

I really couldn't get into Grid 2. They start you in 'Drift' cars which basically means the quickest way around each corner is by sliding rather than taking the clean line. I found single player to just be genuinely dull, didn't like not being able to buy cars, etc.

Enjoyed it briefly online but found it favored those that had played it longer the most. You could actually buy cars online and upgrade them which made it totally unfair to new-comers.

All in all just a bad game in my eyes, I was very disappointed after being a big fan of the first one.

Sounds naf! Sorry to hijack but are there any racing games on PC that are as good as Forza?

I quite enjoyed it for how long I played it and I'll enjoy going back to it. You do open more cars the further you go into it and I'm quite partial to a 4WD myself, never got into the online side of it though and I just prefer the single player.

I played it ALOT. It's OK for an arcade racer. But I don't really like arcade racers anymore. The handling is terrible, having to drift to get a weird speed boost on corners is soooo wrong.

The only thing I miss from the Xbox is Forza. What a game.
