Hi,

Kinda new but is one better than the other? also can you move the folders from your C drive to the E drive to save space on the SSD? is it a chase of just moving copy and pasting? I know I'm a noob.

thanks.

Steam and origin are just two clients. Not sure if either are 'better' really, they just have different games (Origin is owned by EA whereas Steam is owned by Valve).

Not used Origin yet so cant comment on that but I did hear there was a way to move your games about if they are Steam games (in fact there are several threads on the forum for doing that kinda thing!)

well, I would go for steam anyday, purely because I hate origin :D no decent reason though so just go with whatever client you prefer.

As stated both are just essentially game stores, much like on your phone you will likely have an "App store", it's the same thing. Origin is owned by EA however do sell some non EA games. Steam is owned by Valve and pretty much all new released games are available through Steam (apart from EA's). Both are capable of installing to different drives although you may as well just install the client to the storage device you want the games on. Alot of people have flamed Origin for reasons they are wrong about (For some reason a big thing about Origin spying on you came about, but it was just gathering statistics the same way that Steam does; e.g. hardware.)

Personally I prefer Steam purely because of the choice and the crazy sales but I have no problems with Origin; I only use it to access my EA games however.

I use both, however, i only use origin when a game requires it, if not i''ll always be on steam for chat.

I'm surprised by that, I would suggest that's an exception surely rather than the rule? Wouldn't have said that was possible IMO

Steam generally has the larger selection of games, seems to have 'deals' much more often, and theres alot of features ( like game tracking, in game chatting etc)..

that and personally, I really really hate most of EA's software, beyond the core games themselves x3 you'll have to end up with both if you want certain exclusives, but outside of that Steam is alot better IMO
