Steam Downloads resetting

Hey guys.
I was downloading Sleeping Dogs today and it got to about 60%, paused the download and shutdown my PC. Turned my PC back on to resume my download when I got home from work and it's back to 0% of 6GB?!!
It used to just carry on from where it left off on my old PC but it's just resetting itself and I'm having to download it all over again.

Yeh, mine just starts from where it left off, no idea what the problem could be but have you checked the actual steam forums? probably more likely to be a post about it there.

Same here with Hitman Absolution. =(

Maybe there's some setting in your steam account or some such that's for some reason working against it continuing afterward or maybe there's something been altered for whatever reason that you could re-enable to stop it happening in future. Worth a try if you don't have any clues short of contacting steam.
