Quick question how do I test the read/write speed of my SSD? I have a OCZ vertex 3, which should be 550/500 MB/s. Also is there any way, without taking the cover off, I can find out if its going through the sata III not the sata II.

wouldnt worry so much about speeds or putting anything on it as of yet your biggest concern with OCZ ssd`s is making sure you have the most recent firmware as you most likely with have troubles in the coming weeks if its not fully up to date. take a read here http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forum...Vertex-3-SSD-Fix-out-now!!&highlight=firmware

Yeah I did have problems but i updated the firmware so its all fine now. Still wouldn't mind taking a look at the read/write speed to see how true it is to the advertised value.
