Anyone able to recommend a cheap 2TB SSD Which would out perform a HDD and still would be reliable etc.
Looking for something in the range of 100-200£ - The less the better.

2TB SSDs are typically around the £200 mark.

Crucial MX500 is a very good SSD, with great sustained write performance.

Cheaper ones like BX500 are often not really worth the savings.

You can get 2TB MX500s for less than £200 on sale, though at a quick google they seem to be floating around or a little over £200.

WD Blue 3D NAND is decent, though currently not much cheaper at a glance.

The 860 QVO is an option, but at only ~£10 cheaper (5%) I wouldn't.

Those are all Sata 2.5" :)

There is an M.2 PCIe WD Blue that is different, but has the same brand, because WD can't do more than about 3 colours, but I meant the 2.5" ones

For internal HDDs, I've found Toshiba N300s to be great.

Damn only £156 for 6TB of Toshiba N300s :O

I was looking into the WD Black's they seem to be the "performance drives" Still have one 1TB of these from when i was buyin PCS PC back in 2012.

Is there anything in particular you are looking to store? A fast, modern, 7200RM conventional drive should operate around 150-250MB/s which is no slouch.

I only have SSD storage for OS, Programs and Games. It's pretty much pointless for everything else.

Hard Drive would need to store mostly pictures/documents/movies/3d models/textures/samples & occasionally some games that I still want to have installed even though I play it once a month or less :ROFLMAO:
Ya feel me?

That's what I use my conventional drive for. It would be an improvement to have it on SSD, no doubt.... but, it's a costly outlay for no real necessity.

If looking to spend £200... I would spend the £220 (ish) and get the Crucial MX500 as suggested earlier. Otherwise.... I would be opting for a 5TB+ conventional drive around the £120-150 mark.

I'll be buying both eventually anyway.
I'll need an SSD and a HDD for massive storage.
