Spec for gaming?

Is this a good spec for high end gaming at 1080p?
All I will do on it is play games :)
My budget is about £1300 (plus £50 if need be) and I don't need a monitor or anything else. Just the PC.
Thanks.

It's a little unbalanced mate.
This is better for the budget you posted.
You could probably push for a 780ti if you downgraded the warranty and ssd but this is what I would go for in that budget.
The upgraded warranty is a must in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies :)
I forgot to put that I did want the liquid cooling so it's quieter. Thanks for the input though bigben

Also, would I not need an i7 for gaming? And isn't the 16gb ram a must for modern gaming? Should I also get the faster ram?
Is the 780 good enough for modern games?

1.The i7 would offer a negligible performance advantage over the i5 for gaming. It also cost a fair bit more.
2.8gb it's fine for modern gaming and it's easy to upgrade if you ever needed to.
3.You will not notice the difference that the higher speed ram makes when gaming.
4. The 780 is easily capable of playing modern games on high settings. It makes more sense than the 780ti at the moment in terms of price to performance.

Get the i7. It should add about 10 fps while gaming.

I would swap the ssd for a a normal hdd and go for the i7 then. The i7 would make the pc faster than the ssd would at the moment.

The i5 would suffice for the OPs intended use.
The SSD would have much more noticable performance benefits over the i7.

The i7 is pretty pointless to get at this point only a 2-3 fps performance improvement and only 10fps max on games that are truly optimized for multi-threading, and there are very few of those. The SSD is much more worthwhile, reduces loading time for the operating system and all your programs, and with 240GB you could even fit a few games on there and improve the loading times for them. I have a couple of games on mine and its only 120GB and I currently have 15GB free

ummmmmmmm faster for what? SSD is faster at loading application and booting windows. For the majority of games the i7 wouldn't bring any noticeable improvement compare to the i5 at stock clock speed.

I think that the H60 is notorious for being noisy. I have an air cooler with two 120mm fans and it's silent.

Don't bother with an i7, that person is mistaken. For gaming, the price : performance ratio for i5 : i7 is just not worth it. This article is worth a read, doesn't show fps but you get a decent idea.

In terms of noise I don't see the point of getting a CPU watercooler, your GPU is going to be making more noise either way, I have dual fan CPU cooler and can't hear it whilst doing regular stuff or during gaming because its overpowered by the GPU(s)

I agree with Wozza and bigben here.
These days air coolers are just as good as liquid coolers for the most part :)

(Didn't know that about the H60.)
