I need a machine to do general Hyper-v lab builds on for testing, general conferencing, and citrix connectivity.

Maybe some Python/Powershell scripting.

But very light types of games also, anyone used this build or anything similar ? Any comments welcome to sort of validate the build or where I have gone wrong

Will be used with a standard hdmi office monitor nothing with a massive refresh rate

From your requirements I don't think you need anything overly heavy duty, the build you have specced looks good but there are some changes I would definitely make.

The PCS drive I wouldn't have for any important information. It's a bit of an unknown with questionable endurance. I would want a Corsair drive in there, or at least one of the Solid drives.

Other than that you need to ditch Norton and I would consider the warranty. Silver is a no brainer but with a laptop you may want to give yourself an extra years grace on parts going wrong. They get expensive when any of the main players show faults.

Changes I would want below, feel free to drop the Warranty to silver if you want to save though.
