Please point out any obvious incompatibilities. Usage is specialised graphics development. I've asked for a custom build with a PCIe SSD, so ignore the disk spec

There is nothing worth noting, you got pretty much all areas covered :)

:) my opinion ? what about gtx 460 1gb instead of gtx 465? its a few pounds cheaper but it will perform much better if you are planning to sli in the future :) ah and its cooler!!

Although, if its CUDA enbaled tech your using it for, the 465 would be better as it has 30 odd more CUDA cores. :) So you need to take both into consideration :)

That was my original thinking behind the 465; previous work was on a 285. Looking at the specs, the 460 isn't too far behind in CUDA cores; that shouldn't too much of an issue in development, as we can benchmark and predict performance on 470s/480s; both cards are viable choices, as this is for evening work in my digs, the noise/heat consideration may win out
