sound card help?

I really dont know what sound card to pick ..I want very high quality sound from gaming and music ..... price is no limit except maybe £130, this is the last thing on my pc I need to sort as I have decided on my build..... I have found the asus xonar essence stx sound card, is this any good for 5.1 surround sound speakers? I also want to use a gaming headset I was thinking the pc363d's how ever they use 3.5mm and a usb - does this mean it wont use the sound card if It uses usb?? thanks

headphones sennheiser pc363d - 3.5mm gold headphone and mic jack
logitech z906 speakers - optical
also if I buy the xonar essence card will it ship with all the adaptors for optical etc or not??

get the ASUS Xonar any day over creative sound cards! (long story)

N yes the Xonar should come with the supplied adapters.

i'd probably get a set of tritton ax pros over the sennheiser headset! alot cheaper and will do an amazing job!

The sennheisers are USB, therefore they may not take advantage of your sound card!!! But the trittons are optical so definitely will mate.

So yeah tritton ax pro's (white version) for gaming and dvd's, and get a cheaper set of normal 2.1 or 5.1 speakers for music.
