Some Advice Needed

Hello, all I am wanting to upgrade from my rather old system to a brand new system I have a budget of £4000 but can go up to £4500 below is what I have done on the website but for some reason cannot link it here its most probs because the cooler is not in stock atm. This system I want to play the latest AAA games at high FPS and would ideally like it to last a while and am a bit concerned with the case and airflow etc

CASE
HYTE Y60 MID-TOWER PANORAMIC CASE

PROCESSOR
i9 24 Core Processor 19-13900k (3.0GHZ) 36MB Cache

MOTHERBOARD
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 (HERO DDR5, LGA1700, USB 3.2, PCIe 5.0) - ARGB READY

MEMORY
32GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB DDR5 5600MHz

GRAPHICS CARD
24GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3090TI - HDMI DP

1ST M.2 SSD
500GB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 6900MB/R, 5000MB/W)

2ND M.2 SSD
2TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 5000MB/W)

1ST STORAGE DRIVE
1TB SAMSUNG 870 QVO 2.5 SSD SATA (Should I change this to 500GB and put the OS On here and change the 1st m.2 to 1TB instead of 500)

POWER
CORSAIR 1200W

PROCESSOR COOLING
CORSAIR ICUE H150i ELITE RGB HIGH-PERFORMANCE CPU COOLER

THERMAL PASTE
ARTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL

EXTRA CASE FANS
3X PCS ARGB LED FAN'S

TOTAL - £3798

I am also looking for a monitor as well that would be good for the 3090ti but don't want a huge monitor like the g9 as don't think i could get used to that size monitor lol

Thank you all for any replies to this thread its much appreciated :)

I'm not someone who really knows what they're on about when it comes to specs. One of the wise ones on here will be along soon I'm sure. I'd advise switching the cooler to the Capellix as that is in stock and would allow you to post the config link.

I can guarantee that the 3090Ti is complete overkill for just gaming though.

I would drop to the 13700k, the 13900k offers almost no benefit for gaming, and at the extreme expense of cooling.

What size are you looking for and what budget? You'd be looking near the £1000 mark for a suitable monitor.

But I wouldn't suggest the 3090ti at all, the 4080 would cost about the same and perform better

1ST STORAGE DRIVE
1TB SAMSUNG 870 QVO 2.5 SSD SATA (Should I change this to 500GB and put the OS On here and change the 1st m.2 to 1TB instead of 500)
Storage drive are substantially slower than OS drives, this one is about 10th of the speed of an NVME, it wouldn't be suitable for OS or games. This is for putting data on that is only access for reads or storage.
THERMAL PASTE
ARTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL
No need for this as the cooler comes pre applied with high quality paste.

CASE
HYTE Y60 MID-TOWER PANORAMIC CASE
Just want to big up this choice, this is a stellar case in all aspects

WHAT CASE SUPPORTS THE 4080 AS CANT FIND ANY ON SITE EXCEPT THE COOLERMASTER COSMOS C700M TOWER GAMING CASE WHICH SEEMS A BIT EXCESSIVE LOL

WILL SEE HOW MANY FANS ARE AVAILABLE WHEN I MANAGE TO FIND A CASE

TOTAL - £4000 ODD

MONITOR
I AM LOOKING AT THE ALIENWARE 37 INCH CURVED MONITOR

Hello not sure if this is the right area to post but was just wondering what is the best case atm for the 4090 on the website as I can only see two on their atm that can support the size of the card. Are they planning to release any new cases soon big enough for the card lol

There's a bug in the configurator that makes it think that any AIO would have the radiator mounted on the front this reducing the space for the GPU.

If you give PCS a call they should be able to talk through your options.

Just additionally, the Corsair coolers come pre applied with high quality paste, worth removing the additional paste option, the stuff on the cooler is higher quality anyway.

I would also personally reduce the motherboard to the Strix as the Maximus isn't needed, but do see it's currently out of stock.

Ahh will do thank you one more question and sorry for the nuisance lol would you advise gaming on a 4k tv or stick to the gaming monitors as saw some nice deals on some websites but never really considered a 4k tv

A couple of 4k TVs from Samsung and LG are 120hz, I think the C2 models and some higher end ones from Samsung, but they generally cost over £1000.

I would never game on any normal refresh TV, 60hz is no longer considered sufficient for a gaming rig imho
