Snog, Marry Avoid ?

HI All

I have the chance to buy this spec at £1249

Only issue I have with it is that the motherboard is an Intel Q370 and I understand those motherboards are limiting for gaming ?

To be honest though, I have never overclocked a PC in my life so am not a performance freak and just want a PC that will run everything, especially VR

Does this sound like a good deal or avoid and handpick but spend more from PC Specialise

No it is HP - Its an eye catching price for a spec that has an RTX2080, 512 SSD and 9700

But it states a Q370 chipset motherboard which is possibly where the savings come in. Just want peoples opinions on this chipset and whether or not it will seriously impede it as a gaming PC (considering I am unlikely to add a second graphics card or overclock)

Having just had a root around the HP site and it seems that the specs in question comes out to around £1800? (I used the US site and converted the dollar amount but asusming that is in the right area?)

I wonder if it's an ex-demo unit or something? Either way, I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole, low price or no.

Yeah, just realised the price was in the first post....I wouldn't go near it either to be honest but then I have issues with buying non-brand new computer products anyway. Regardless, that's about as far as we are allowed to advise on a non-PCS system

Agreed, and when it comes to something as complex as a PC can be I'd always choose to go bespoke than an off the shelf unit.
