Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for something that's more portable than my current computers. Something I can move from room to room or take with me when I need my own computer say at a friend's house. I've never been a big fan of laptops so a little PC would be ideal.
I multi-boot most of my system with Linux/Windows or Linux/OS X and I'd like to make this a dedicated Linux box. At home I'll use it mostly for managing and viewing my digital media. Possibly even leaving it on overnight to download TV shows or movies etc as our location means or internet isn't the best.
I still want it to be powerful enough if I have to use it to encode some video clips or do some light photo editing in GIMP perhaps even the odd video game but nothing major.
A general question about ordering from PCS what happens to the case accessors? I believe the case I am thinking of using comes with separate drive brackets for mounting SSDs into the hard drive cage and I would be a bit lost without them if they were not included with the completed computer.
Case - COOLERMASTER HAF XB GAMING CASE
CPU - Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-4770k (3.5GHz) 8MB Cache
Motherboard - ASUS® MAXIMUS VI IMPACT: Mini-ITX, LG1150, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, WIFI
RAM - 16GB KINGSTON HYPERX BEAST DUAL-DDR3 2400MHz X.M.P (2 x 8GB KIT)
GPU - 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 770 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP
Hard Disk - 240GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW) x 2
DVD/BLU-RAY Drive - 15x BLU-RAY WRITER DRIVE, 16x DVD ±R/±RW
Power Supply - CORSAIR 650W ENTHUSIAST SERIES™ MODULAR TXM-650 V2-80 PLUS®
Processor Cooling - CoolerMaster Seidon 120M High Performance CPU Cooler
Any suggestions or thoughts are most welcome, thank you for looking.
Regards,
Bleu
